Join us for the premiere of “Rise Up Your Pints: The Story of the Rising Pints”, a documentary chronicling the remarkable journey of The Rising Pints, a pioneering Irish folk band formed in Japan in 1996 by Brian Cullen and Mark Renburke.

Emerging from the vibrant international music scene of Nagoya in the 1990s, The Rising Pints became a defining force in bringing authentic Irish folk music to Japan—developing a diverse repertoire of traditional and original music, recording a musically groundbreaking debut album, and touring throughout Central Japan in the late 1990s.

Through rare footage, personal stories, and reflections spanning nearly three decades, Rise Up Your Pints captures the spirit, evolution, and lasting legacy of a band that injected its unique stamp into the spirit of Irish musical tradition far from Ireland’s shores.
